Villa Akasa is in the heart of a village that is still barely touched by tourist development. We invite you to sit out on your private balcony and listen to the unique sounds of village life: the whisper of the coconut trees, the chirping of crickets during the night, the sounds of worship during the day. A short walk down the hill will lead you to the beach. This part of Kerala is geographically unique as it is the only place in Kerala where cliffs touch the Arabian Sea. The aqua green water contrasts with the bright red of the cliffs making this the perfect place to swim and to watch the sun set.

The North cliff or main tourist area is a twenty minute walk or short bicycle ride away. Here you will find some beautiful restaurants perched along the cliff edge and small shops selling curios and beach clothes.

Close by there is also a traditional Kerala style temple which is over 2000 years old. This temple is steeped in legend and myth and has an ancient energy; visiting it is a beautiful experience.

Other attractions of Kerala - elephant rides, house boat trips along the backwaters, ayurvedic massages and treatments - are easily arranged.
