A collection of heartfelt messages from guests who have made Villa Akasa part of their journey.
Thoughts, memories and experiences shared by guests who stayed with us and reviewed Villa Akasa online.
Villa Akasa was one of the most beautiful accommodations we have stayed in so far. The rooms were spread across the property, so we had a lot of privacy. Everything was super beautiful, overgrown with tropical plants, and very well maintained and kept in good condition. You can see that a lot of love went into the design here. Every morning there was a great breakfast with coffee/chai, fresh fruit, and another dish of your choice. Both the employees and the owner were very friendly. My highlight was the pool, where you can cool off under frangipani trees. There was a very tasty restaurant directly across the street with a great view, and we went there several times. We were here for our babymoon, for which we were looking for a relaxing, quiet, and beautiful place to stay. That's exactly what we found in Villa Akasa, and we would come back at any time.
Villa Akasa is even more impressive in reality than in photos, especially the pool which is a delight and usually for sole use as this is a small place. The room was spacious with a lovely porch overlooking the pool. At first we thought the semi-outdoor bathroom might be a hassle, but it actually works well and is a joy. Everything is tastefully decorated but nicely restrained and uncluttered. The landscaping is so exotic, who could complain about frangipani flowers dropping into the pool. The dogs noted in the property description are well-bred and were no issue. Surprisingly given the garden and pool there were no mosquitoes (maybe due to the time of year)? Everything was so clean and the outdoor breakfasts were homemade and generous with daily options. Most of all it was the friendly service provided by the staff which won us instantly. Raju, the ‘manager’ is an absolute angel. The owner was also good enough to accept late cancellation of our first night due to flight disruptions.
Villa Akasa is a true hidden gem in Varkala, it is peaceful, beautifully designed, and full of charm. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with lots of privacy and the open-air shower is an unforgettable highlight that makes every day feel special. The recently added pool and dining area are stunning and elevate the whole experience, offering the perfect spot to relax or enjoy one of their delicious homemade meals. Sidharth the host, his family as well as the staff are exceptionally warm and attentive, making you feel genuinely cared for from the moment you arrive. I have spent quite a while researching accomodations in Varkala and this is by far the nicest, even compared to the high-end hotels that can be found in the area. Overall, Villa Akasa is the perfect blend of style, comfort, tranquility, and authentic hospitality, a place you’ll never want to leave.
This was our second time visiting shama's place, right from when we arrived we felt at home. The stay is decorated tastefully, the open roof in the bathroom brings you closer to the nature. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The food is prepared and served with love. The stay is opposite to the most beautiful cafe of Varkala which allowed us to experience the beautiful sunset everyday. This is a must stay for everyone visiting Varkala.
Amazing stay. If you’re visiting Varkala, I would definitely
recommend! Thanks again guys xx
This is a beautiful property, and rooms are immaculately
furnished and spotlessly clean. Each little suite has its own
private patio (ours even had its own private garden and outdoor
shower). There is also the cutest serene pool and relaxing
area…. again kept absolutely pristine. The owners (Sid & his
mum) are excellent hosts and they truly treated us like family
over the 10 nights we stayed. They went out of their way to
assist us with transport, shopping, spa treatments and more. The
staff are nothing short of amazing and the food is outstanding……
woke up this morning in UK craving the Indian breakfasts I had
every day. Whilst I was more adventurous in my diet, my husband
stayed with non-Indian options…. We were both delighted each
day! Really not anything negative to say…. What’s not to like?
Gorgeous room, lovely staff, perfect location. Really gorgeous room and garden area. Enjoyed the breakfast provided. Loved doggy cuddles. Lovely staff. The location is really nice in a peaceful area south side of Varkala, only 15mins walk along the beach or 100/150 rupees in a tuk tuk to north cliff. Also recommend the Ayurvedic massage and treatments in the place opposite. Perfect place to stay in Varkala.
The welcome from Yako and Sophie, the owner's two dogs, warmed our hearts. The subtle and refined decoration of the accommodation immersed us in a zen and peaceful atmosphere conducive to the practice of yoga. We were touched by Pramod's kindness; he even offered us his own rickshaw to take us to the lively restaurants. We highly recommend!
Had the most idyllic and peaceful stay at Villa Akasa. The room was large, clean and comfortable - the bathroom was excellent and the terrace was the perfect spot to sit and enjoy breakfast with the gentle morning sun streaming in. It was a highlight of the stay. The rosemary and walnut bread was so delicious!!
We stayed at Villa Akasa for 3 weeks and had made the best choice with this place. We were looking for something that has its own character and individual atmosphere, which is different from just a tourist accommodation that meets the usual standards. And we definitely found this. What was extremely important to us was the local, wegetarian cuisine. At Villa Akasa we had a daily hash made, wegetarian breakfast and dinner with Ceralic Indian dishes. And that was fantastic ! Otherwise we couldn't have stayed in Varkala. There's too much average and touristy here. Our wishes were always taken into account and implemented, no matter what it was about. That's why everything was very easy. We really felt at home here and the whole team at Villa Akasa contributed to this, which is very warm and serviceable in a moderate way. Would highly recommend this location.
